Del in MO v Kerry's brother in Muleskinner speech. Del Wins.

Del's speech to the local Muleskinners knocked the smugness out of Kerry's brother
What Josh Flory of the Tribune failed to report on was how the crowd reacted.
Here's what Josh missed.
On the podium was a Kerry for president sign. Del, being the showman he is...
.....asks if they can remove it before he begins his speech. They took just enough time for Del to steal the thunder once more by ripping it off and proudly handing it to the Kerry staffers. And then the speech.
First he asks why is that the current president who didn't even win the popular vote manage to hijack our government against the best interests of the people?
Silence from the audience. Rumor has it you could hear a pin drop.
Because the leadership of the Democratic party failed to stand up for us by standing up to George Bush.
Go Del!!!
With the attention of the audience in hand, Del launches into why he supports Dean, touting Dean's record in Vermont, his solid record of Standing up for Democratic values even when other democrats rolled over.
The smug look of Cameron Kerry's face according to a person in the audience fell further as Del said:
If the last few years have taught us anything, it is that the Democratic party must stand on it's principles and not back down to the Republicans. If we nominate a candidate with a record of voting for just about everything that George Bush has asked for, then we give the voters no reason to vote for us - and we will lose in November.
And then the kicker. The one that has Cameron Kerry shrinking in his seat even more.
And so I ask you this one favor on behalf of our country. Before you make your final choice, check out your candidate's voting record on:
The Iraq war resolution
The Patriot Act
The Medicare hijacking
The so-called No Child Left Behind Act
and
Each of George Bush's Tax Breaks for the wealthy
Ask yourself truthfully if that candidate's record really reflects your values and the values of the Democratic party. Because if it doesn't he offers no alternative to the Republican's and without that we cannot win.
Clark's speaker was local and spoke of the General's record. He gets points. Edward's speaker choose the tactic of She liked Edwards because he is from a small town like Columbia, well not as small as Columbia, but like small towns outside of Columbia, about how she was from North Carolina............
After the speeches former Kerry supporters take the time to tell Del based on his speech, they are switching to Dean. In Missouri where opinions are held closely inside, I consider that a success. Sure I am biased, Del clearly won this round, with Clark coming in second.
